About

Let's see if I can give you your week back.

I'm Jacob Dart, in Pocatello. I test every tool in my own business before recommending it to yours. If paid work doesn't make your business measurably better, you don't pay.

The short version

I'm Jacob Dart — Jake to everyone in town.

I live in Pocatello, and I help local businesses take the repetitive work off their week — the re-typing, the follow-up, the chasing. I find the thing eating your hours, set up something that handles it, and then teach you until you own it without me.

I didn't get here from a consulting deck. I got here by drowning in my own busywork and fixing it — tools that take notes for me, remember everything I've done, and handle the repeat work on their own. Once my own week came back, I realized that's the thing worth offering a neighbor. Not advice. The working setup.

What I believe

  • You should own what you pay for. No lock-in, no black box — it lives on your accounts.
  • Never automate a broken process. Fix the way you do it now, then hand the clean version to AI.
  • If it won't pay for itself, don't buy it. If a build won't pay for itself several times over, I'll tell you not to do it — even when that costs me the sale.
  • Fewer tools, not more. The goal is a quieter, steadier business — not a longer software bill.
  • Build to completion. We're done when it runs without me, not when the call ends.

My own first customer

I run my own business on the same setup I'd give you.

It's one thing to recommend a tool. It's another to live with it every day. My own business is the test bench — every recommendation I make is something I've already lived with. When something doesn't actually save time, I find out before you ever do.

Tested on me first

Everything I'd set up for you, I've run in my own work first. No theory — just what actually holds up on a busy Tuesday.

Delivered, then taught

I do the setup so it doesn't eat your week, then walk you and your team through it hands-on, refining until you're running it comfortably on your own — so it keeps working even when I'm not in the room.

Honest about being early

I'm new at this, and I won't dress that up with borrowed logos. What I can show you is my own setup, working. As clients get results, they'll be posted right here, with names.

What "J&M" means

Me and my mom. That's the company.

J&M is a 50/50 partnership between me and my mother — Jacob & Michele. She keeps me honest; I do the building and the day-to-day. We're from here, we answer our own phone, and the name is a daily reminder of who this is for: people running businesses who'd like their evenings back.
